My name is Emily Dittmer and I am the Founding Principal of EAGLE Tower Grove East. During my 20+ career in education, I’ve taught middle school literature and visual arts, elementary music, and been an Assistant Principal. As a long-time resident of the city of St.Louis, I am passionate about creating outstanding educational opportunities for families. This is the reason that I decided to join EAGLE in 2015. I am incredibly proud of the tight-knit, loving, and child-focused community that has developed since we first opened our doors in August of 2016. I hope that you and your scholar(s) love your experience at EAGLE and look forward to the school year ahead!
Jennifer Ebeling, Dean of Students
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Education from St. Louis University. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and have already been part of the EAGLE community for the past 4 years as a school-based therapist. I’m really excited about my new role as the Dean of Students and Culture because, well, I love both students and culture! I started my professional work in city schools and my heart has been there ever since. What I’ve seen over and over is that scholars do their best learning when they feel safe and connected in the classroom, and THAT usually starts with a school culture where teachers and staff not only do their best individually but work as a team with each other and with scholars’ families, as well.
Christian Lewis-Jude, Dean of Instruction
Christian Jude was born and raised in St. Louis and attended St. Louis Public Schools through high school. She graduated from Knox College, a liberal arts college with her B.A. in Elementary Education with a minor in Black Studies. Christian earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University. Christian began teaching in 2012 in Galesburg, IL, continued in both Chicago Public schools and St. Louis Public Schools. Christian joined the EAGLE St. Louis team in 2018 as a 5th grade lead teacher at EAGLE Tower Grove East and currently serves as the Dean of Instruction at EAGLE Tower Grove East. Being a native of St. Louis city, Christian is able to serve her community and is leaving a LASTING impression on the St. Louis and EAGLE community.
